System Boundary

Layer(s): DefinesSysBoundary
Shortcut: SBD
Associated: Structure Elevations / Define Drops & Sprigs
Ribbon: Elevate Panel

When you elevate the drawing, or run AutoCalc, AutoList, Pretty Pipes the entire drawing is elevated unless you have System Boundaries inserted. These boundaries can be used to break up a drawing so that some parts of the drawing are processed, and other parts are ignored, speeding up the time needed to "Raise Up" the drawing to the 3D model, since only the portion within the boundary are converted to 3D mode. Other processes use System Boundaries as well.

Type in a System Name if desired. This name is only for your reference and is not used by the program in any way.
A Rectangular boundary will ask you to select two points. A Non-Rectangular boundary will let you pick as many points as you like. Right-Click to close the Non-Rectangular boundary if that option is chosen.
Pick Defining Points will ask you to select those points and will insert the boundary.

Add Project Base/Match Point changes the button to Insert Base Point. This allows you to insert a reference point for multiple System Boundaries and multiple drawings.
