Align Crosshairs with Ceiling

Layer(s): CEILING
Associated: Insert Light
This transparent command is used to set SNAPBASE to any point you prefer, usually an intersection of ceiling grid lines.
The default SNAP spacing is 12 inches (300mm). You should pick two gridlines – this will set SNAPBASE to their intersection.

Tip: - This makes it easy to align the crosshairs with the center of a tile or a quarter point so that lights may be placed quickly using the Insert Light command.
Once the SNAPBASE has been set, SNAP is turned on and will remain aligned until this command is used again. You can now insert lights. Press F9 or pick the AutoCAD SNAP button to turn SNAP off.
