Align Crosshairs with Ceiling

This transparent command is used to set the SNAP origin point at an intersection of the ceiling grid lines. The default SNAP spacing is 12 inches (300mm).

*Tip* - This makes it easy to align the crosshairs with the center of a tile or a quarter point so that lights may be placed quickly using the Insert Light command.

Once the Base Point has been set, SNAP is turned on and will remain configured until this command is used again. You can now insert lights. Press F9 or pick the AutoCAD SNAP button to turn SNAP off.
