Override Fitting Examples

The example here shows a grooved coupling on a main. If the Listing tag for this main was configured under the Fitting Group as Mains – Stnd Grv E&T-Thrd POL & 1” Thrd Arms, the coupling would be listed as a standard grooved coupling.

HC06

You may want to have certain couplings as FireLock couplings instead of the default Standard couplings. To do this, you would override the fitting.

Start the Override Fitting command and set up the box as shown.

Select Coupling and then FireLock Coupling. Press the Insert Fitting Override button and pick the coupling to be changed.

The fitting receives the override block as well as the label. This coupling will now be listed as a FireLock coupling. Use this technique to override any fittings that are available from the Fittings lists.

If you want to insert several Override Fittings at once, select Insert Multiple Overrides. Press Insert Fitting Override and pick any of the typical blocks to override.
