Viewsection 2

Viewsection is an AutoCAD command used to create section views of the models created with Viewbase. Complete details are found in the AutoCAD Help system.

Viewsection must be started in Paper Space. You will be prompted to Select parent view.

Viewsection 3

Here we picked the base (the central) view used in the Viewbase topic covered above.

You are then prompted to Specify a start point for the section line.

Viewsection 4

In this example, the picks are at the bottom and top of the pump model. Turning Ortho on will make the section cut cleanly.

Right-click to select <Done> to complete this section. You can pick multiple points for each section, creating an offset section.

Viewsection 5

Pick the section location. A menu will appear allowing you to change many properties of the section. If done, right-click or pick eXit to finish.

The section is created along with a label indicating the Section name and scale.

Viewsection 6

Pick the Dynamic Grip to change the section scale, if needed.

There are more variables for the command. For more information, see the Viewsection topic in AutoCAD Help.
