Tagging Example 5
Tagging a tree with welded mains and threaded lines
Only one tag per main is usually required for a tree or loop system with one or more welded mains and threaded lines. All branch lines coming off a given main will be collected, cut and grouped with that main, if the fabrication type is Threaded. The only other items that need to be tagged are the drops or sprigs.
1. Use either previous Example 1 or Example 2 to tag mains.
2. Define Drop or Sprig elevations with DefLines.
3. If a loop, use the Stop command to insert one Stop sign at the location of any coupling along the loop, including a coupling at an elbow or tee. This Stop sign is necessary to get the proper end preps for the loop.
Below is a Typical Tree System with Welded Mains and Threaded Lines.
