Dummy Reference Points

Layer(s): TEXT
Shortcut: DP
Associated: Reference Points
Insert reference points that will not be picked up by AutoCalc but are for drawing reference only. For example, a detail or riser drawing or a plot plan.

No reference point name can exceed four characters.
Select between Single Node, Double Node and Merge.
Single Node will insert a single tag as shown:

Double Node will accept two numbers as input and show them both in one block.

Merge will request the selection of two reference points, such as those placed at the top and bottom of a riser pipe. The command will combine the labels into a Double Node.
The Node Shape is used to choose which graphic you would like for the reference point.
For Insertion Method:
Sequential will place reference points on the drawing in order, adding the Count by value to the value entered in the field next to Single Node on subsequent inserts. For the Single or Double Node values, enter a number or letter that you would like to start with such as a 1 or an A.
The Count by value indicates the incremental increase which will be made for each subsequent pick. For example, if the field and Count by values are 1, the first reference point label will be 1, the second insertion will be 2, the third 3, and so on.
For points that will carry exactly what you choose, select Specific. Each time you insert one of these, you will be asked what you want to name the next point.
You can also adjust the Layer and Scale Factor of the tags.
